Dessy is Head of Technopreneurship Department in Surya University and a researcher of Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation (CTI). Her strong interests are human factors, technology and organization, creativity and Innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship. The interests developed through her-12 year experiences working for social causes. She developed Bootcamp for Young Technopreneur (BYTe), initiated Festival of Social Creativity (FeSoVity), and, recently,she initiated Indonesia Sociopreneur Challenge (ISoC).

Dessy had her undergraduate degree in civil engineering from West Sumatra’s Bung Hatta University then Master Degree in Management of Logistics and Transportation Program, Chalmers University of Technology for which she was awarded STINT Scholarship 2005. After graduation, Dessy worked for a renewable energy company before awarded The Rune Andersson Scholarship 2008 to advance her study to PhD in Business Management at Lincoln University. In 2011, she had an opportunity to join ICAO headquarters in Montreal for which she was awarded the WAI-ICAO Scholarship. Since then, she has served various organizations, institutions, and agencies, including Central Bank of Indonesia, for economic development and education.

Dr. Dudi Iskandar graduated from University of Canterbury New Zealand in 2011 with the major of Forestry Science. His PhD thesis related to the adoption proses of Innovation in forestry sector in Indonesia. He worked in BPPT as a researcher. He also has been working as Professional Staff for International Relationship at National Reserach Council of Indonesia (DRN), 2012-2015. He involved in the project of Universities & Councils Network for Innovations for Inclusive Development-SEA (2013-2015). In 2013, He became Head of Division for Innovation Capability, BPPT, and in 2014 as a Head of the program for techno park development in Cimahi, West Java, Indonesia. He has been working with startups in animation and food products.

Dr. Dudi now is the Director of The Center for Technopreneurship and Industrial Cluster, BPPT. His main job is to develop technopreners in Indonesia through universities and local governments (Techno Parks).

He was one of the judges for National Young Innovation Competition held by Ministry for Youth and Sports in 2014 and 2015. He was also one of the judges for Indonesia Sociopreneur Challenge 2015 held by Surya University.

Gamal Albinsaid, MD

Profile

Gamal Albinsaid, the 25-years-old, a young doctor, researcher, technopreneur, and sociopreneur from Indonesia. Gamal is founder of Garbage Clinical Insurance, micro health insurance program which uses garbage as financial resources. The program has been replicated in a lot of cities in Indonesia and the program has been presented in various government and non-government organizations, and academic institution, including California University, Cambridge University, and Asian Development Bank.

Gamal had his Medical Degree (Cum Laude) from Brawijaya University for both bachelor and master degree. He got mentoring from Cambridge Program Sustainability Leadership. Gamal’s works had been recognized widely and he has awarded 35 awards from both national and international bodies, including The The HRH Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur from Buckingham Palace, People Choice Award from California University, and AusAID Indonesian social Innovator Award from AusAID. He has also become the Southeast Asia Regional Coordinator of ISECN, International Aairs of MITI, and remains active in various other organizations. He plays a role in developing the sustainability of the project and also concentrated on innovation in social and financial impact.

Dr. Holly Ritchie has a background in international development (PhD), market development and finance, with practical experience in Asia, the Middle East, South America, and East Africa. She is currently a research fellow (International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University, The Netherlands), and part-time lecturer (‘Gender in Fragile Environments’ and ‘Institutional Context in Women’s Entrepreneurship’) with a strong interest in gender, social norms and change in economic development. Her PhD (awarded in 2013 at ISS, Cum Laude, Best PhD Thesis 2013) focused on grassroots women’s enterprise in Afghanistan and cultural change. She won best paper at the International Symposium on Entrepreneurship and Innovation (University of Padua, Venice, Italy, 2012) for an article based on one of her PhD case studies. Recent academic research (2014-2016) includes work with Somali and Syrian women entrepreneurs in fragile refugee situations in urban Kenya and Jordan.

Holly is passionate about social change in humanitarian work and development, and complimenting her academic research/teaching, Holly is also an independent consultant with a strong focus on gender, enterprise, value chains and livelihood security with specific country-based experiences in Afghanistan (10 years), as well as Brazil (1.5 years) and East Africa (2 years).

Prof. dr. Josette Dijkhuizen holds a master degree in Marketing, in Management & Organization Sciences and also has a certificate in coaching. She worked for ten years at different international SMEs in sales and marketing jobs. In 2005 she quitted her job to start her own company. Ever since she works as an entrepreneur(ship) consultant and mentor for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial organizations. Josette finished her PhD in 2015 at Tilburg University on the subject of entrepreneurial success and happiness (psychology of entrepreneurship) and directly she was appointed Honorary Professor in Entrepreneurship Development.

Her passion for entrepreneurship, combined with her experience and knowledge, is expressed in a number of books. Josette was appointed as Women’s Representative in the Netherlands delegation to the United Nations General Assembly 2013. She spoke at the General Assembly in New York about women’s entrepreneurship. And her motto ‘practice what you preach’ is shown by setting up her social enterprises ENPower to assist vulnerable men and women – from shelter homes, refuge, prison and human trade - to start-up their business. She received a national award for this project, but also the Eindhoven City Friendship Award, the Silver Tulip, Top Woman award and different nominations for her books and activities. She is not only a well-known speaker in The Netherlands but she is also seen on international conferences from her scientific knowledge and her experience as practitioner.

Luki is a filmmaking and doing mostly short films and TV commercial. She founded her interests on photography ever since her father taught her how to take photos when she was 6 years old. She was very soon becoming her school’s photographer.

Since then, being behind the camera, observing what is in front of camera is always her obsession and passion. She had a Bachelor degree from Gajah Mada University majoring in Communication studies and pursued her Post graduate studies for Economics in Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. However, Luki realized her path is more in artistic world – in film industry.

So, she started her career from being Production assistant and learnt the real pleasure and intoxicating world of filmmaking. She widened her knowledge by taking a film short course in New York, and ever since she have been making short films.

He was Secretary of Agency for Education and Head of Agency for Regional Investment (KPMD) of South Tangerang City. Sartika enjoys exploring opportunities and ideas related to business, internet, and technology. Not much of a traveler, but for that she would go beyond and challenge herself like by traveling across the world to Africa and Silicon Valley. Her passion has brought her to become a blogger, a web developer, a system analyst, an author (7 books and counting), a public speaker, a senior faculty member, an ambassador for Evernote and Hootsuite, and helping Google with its emerging markets endeavors.

Sumitra Pasupathy is the Country Director of Ashoka Singapore and Malaysia; as well as a social entrepreneur who is the Co-founder, and Board Director of the international award winning organisation Playeum, The Children Centre for Creativity. Ashoka is a global community of 3000 social entrepreneurs (Ashoka Fellows), which includes two Nobel Laureates. Sumitra is also the social entrepreneur in residence at INSEAD, The British Council Lien Foundation ELEVATE Fellow, RSA Fellow and District Councillor of the South West Community Development Council.

Prior to entering the social impact space, Sumitra has had close to 15 years of professional experience in product development, business and corporate development in FMCG and Media sector. Her experiences internationally were with Kraft (UK), Procter & Gamble (Belgium), Bertelsmann AG (Germany, UK, US) and lastly at Random House UK.

A Malaysian who is trained as a Chemical Engineer from Cambridge (MEng) with an MBA from INSEAD with several patents, awards and a deep rooted passion for the children, change-making and skills development.
